Google Business Profile Optimization
When customers search “dentist near me” or “restaurant in Alanya”, Google usually shows the map and a three-business list first. You get into that list through your Google Business Profile. We add your business to Google Maps or take over your existing profile, set up categories, services, photos, posts and reviews, and report every month how many searches, calls and direction requests you received.

What is a Google Business Profile and why does it matter?
A Google Business Profile is your free listing on Google Search and Google Maps: your name, address, opening hours, phone, photos and reviews come from it. In local searches it is often the first thing a customer sees, before your website.
The map comes first
For “service + city” and “near me” searches, a map and a three-business list appear above the organic results. You get into it with your Business Profile, not your website.
Google looks at three things
According to Google, local ranking is based on relevance (correct category and information), distance and prominence (reviews, how current the profile is, how well known the business is on the web).
Decisions are made on the profile
Customers often call, get directions or visit your website straight from the profile. Wrong hours, an old phone number or unanswered reviews send them to a competitor.
AI answers use it too
In our own tests, Google AI Mode and ChatGPT recommend businesses for “which company in this city” questions largely based on Google reviews and profile information.
What we do on your Business Profile
The scope depends on whether you have a profile, whether it is verified and how many locations you have.
Adding or claiming
We add your business to Google Maps, or run the ownership request and verification with you if someone created it before.
Verification support
We prepare for the method Google offers (phone, email, video call, video recording or postcard) and fix the gaps if a verification is rejected.
Categories and services
We choose the right primary and secondary categories based on competitors and list services in the words customers search with.
Accurate details (NAP)
Name, address, phone and hours kept identical on your website, Facebook, Yandex, Apple and Bing.
Photos and posts
A shot list for interior, team, product and service photos and a regular post calendar for offers and news.
Reviews
A short review link and message template for real customers, and timely, policy-compliant replies. No incentivized or fake reviews.
Q&A and description
Common questions answered on the profile and a description that describes the business accurately within the rules.
Monthly report
Searches, calls, direction requests and website visits from the profile, review count and rating, next month’s tasks.
Profile and website together
Part of the prominence signal comes from your website, so address, services and hours must match there too. We can handle your website and wider SEO with the same team.
In Alanya and Antalya
For businesses in the tourist region we set up profiles and pages for Turkish, English and Russian searches. For Alanya-specific local work see our Alanya SEO agency page.
How does your profile look on the map?
Send your business name and city; we will compare your profile, category and reviews with your competitors and share it free of charge.
How the Business Profile work runs
The profile stays in your Google account; you give us manager access and can remove it at any time.

What affects map ranking and what to do
Google explains local ranking with relevance, distance and prominence. Distance cannot be changed; the other two can be worked on.
| Factor | What is checked | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Relevance | Primary category, services, description | Correct category, complete services, clear description |
| Distance | Searcher’s location | Real address; correct service area for service-area businesses |
| Prominence: reviews | Count, rating, recency, replies | Regular review requests from real customers, reply to every review |
| Prominence: freshness | Photos, posts, hours and details | Monthly photos and posts, holiday hours |
| Prominence: web presence | Website, directory listings, links | Consistent name-address-phone, directory listings, local page on site |

Who should prioritize a Business Profile?
Any business whose customers search on Google and then call, ask for directions or walk in.
- Clinics, dentists, beauty and aesthetic centres
- Restaurants, cafés, hotels and accommodation
- Car services, car rental, hairdressers and local services
- Real estate offices, law and accounting firms
- Shops and showrooms
- Service-area businesses (plumbing, cleaning, moving)
Common mistakes
- Keywords in the business name: names like “X Dental Best Implant Alanya” break Google’s representation guidelines and can get the profile suspended.
- Virtual office or fake address: Google wants the address where you actually serve customers; non-compliant addresses can be removed.
- Incentivized or bulk reviews: asking for reviews in return for discounts, or bought reviews, violate Google’s contribution policy and are removed.
- Duplicate profiles: several profiles for the same business split ranking signals and should be merged.
- Set up and forget: a profile with outdated hours and unanswered reviews falls behind over time.

Google Business Profile FAQ
How do I add my business to Google Maps?
Go to business.google.com/add, choose “Add your business to Google”, enter the name, category, address or service area and contact details, then verify with the method Google offers. If your business already appears on Maps, claim it from Maps instead of creating a new profile.
How long does verification take?
Google says verification reviews usually take up to 5 business days and occasionally longer. Google decides which method you get: phone, email, video call, video recording or postcard. Postcard codes usually arrive within 14 days and are valid for 30 days.
Is Google Business Profile free?
Yes, the profile itself is a free Google service. What you pay for is the setup, upkeep and reporting service; our scope is confirmed in writing after the first check.
Can I buy reviews or offer discounts for reviews?
No. Google’s contribution policy prohibits fake, incentivized and selectively solicited reviews; they can be removed and the profile restricted. Send happy customers a short review link and reply politely to every review.
I serve customers at their address. Can I have a profile?
Yes. Service-area businesses can hide their address and define the districts or cities they serve. If customers do not visit you, hiding the address is required by Google’s guidelines.
